Larry was one of the top picks in the 2009 NFL Draft when he was selected 16th overall by the then San Diego Chargers. Very early on in his professional career Larry had the foresight to see beyond simply his career in professional sports, taking necessary steps toward becoming an owner and changemaker in his own right deciding to allocate early on-field earnings toward real estate investment and his philanthropic pursuits through the Larry English L.EA.D. Foundation, launched in 2010.
Upon his retirement, following a seven-year playing career Larry recognized an opportunity to pursue a mission bigger than himself to fill an apparent void in the real estate industry for diverse operators and developers. His early development projects with total capitalization north of $80MM through the “Goal Line Capital” family of partnerships would look to address this greater cause.
Larry is a member of the board of directors for the “Los Angeles Chargers Impact Fund” while also serving as an active member of the Urban Land Institute Los Angeles Chapter. He resides in Los Angeles along with his wife Nicole.
